Dr. William E. Carpenter was born and spent his early years in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, before the family moved to Orlando, Florida, when he was entering the sixth grade. He finished high school in Orlando, enlisted in the United States Air Force, and then began an educational career that parallels his professional experiences in both corporate and ecclesiastical settings. Dr. Carpenter holds undergraduate degrees from Seminole Community College and Lambuth University; master’s degrees from Florida State University, Emory University, and the University of West Georgia; and a doctorate from Columbia Theological Seminary. He is also a certified federal court mediator and behavioral personality analyst.
In addition to his latest book, Ducks on the Pond, Dr. Carpenter has co-authored Forgiveness: An Invitation to Freedom with Ann O’Connor Slimp, PhD. and written and produced a number of dramas and essays.
